Identifying your target audience is also good for looking at other things your expected players will like, to help decide on music, art style, pace etc. 

Anyway, I didn't intend my reply to step on any toes etc, so I hope your survey showed results that are useful to you, Paul :) It's certainly interesting information... so maybe no PSP game, then?
