Hi Dan,
I've done a tiny amount of Android dev (in Java), so I'm curious about the choice of C++. Does it perform significantly better, or is it easier to integrate existing C++ libraries, or do you like C++ more, or something else?
Thanks,
Saxon

Subject: [PIGMI] BlueGin - Android C++ game engine
Hi all.
Speaking of game frameworks, I've been working on one for Android as a side-project [1]. BlueGin is written in C++, based on Flixel, and cobbled from code I used for a couple of native ports (EnviroBear, Canabalt). The reference page [2] has more information on features. Documentation is still pretty sparse but the API is stable and I think the samples are reasonably well commented.
Anyway, it's all open source and I hope someone finds it useful. Even if just as a starting point for your own Android projects. Feedback and patches gratefully accepted.
Cheers,
Dan.
