Today, we’re very excited to announce that the 2011 Freeplay awards
are open for submissions.

Last year, we received over 50 entries from across Australia and the
rest of the world – giving us a reason to split the best game into
both local and international varieties – for categories including
best technical innovation, best concept art, best design and best on
paper design. You can check out all of last year’s winners on our

Categories for the 2011 Awards are:

 Best Game
 Best International Game
 Best Design in a Game
 Best On-Paper Design
 Best Art in a Game
 Best Concept Art
 Best Technical Innovation
 Best Game Writing
 Best Audio

And the important dates are:

 27th June, 2011 - Awards submissions open
 25th July, 2011 – Submission deadline
 8th August, 2011 – Announcement of shortlisted projects
 August 20th & 21st, 2011– Freeplay Independent Games Festival
 August 21st, 2011 – Freeplay Awards Ceremony

We’ll be announcing our panel of expert judges very soon.
