[PIGMI] Best ePad for google

My advice is to steer clear of the cheap (< $200) Android tablets. A guy I
know bought one and ended up taking it back as the software was so buggy
(plus an old version of Android), touch screen dodgy and CPU woefully
underpowered.

One I would recommend is the "Archos 70" tablet however. I've had a play
with it and it seems really good - CPU speed is fast (1GHz with hardware
OpenGL) and felt as responsive as my Galaxy S. It runs Android 2.2 and is
very thin and light and has a neat flip-out kick-stand so you can prop it up
to watch movies etc.

A friend got it from the UK at approx $330AUD delivered (cant remember the
store), which is heaps cheaper than Australian shops (e.g. PLE price is
$419). Only catch is you need to manually install the Android Market (there
are websites on how to do this) and there is no 3G support. Apart from that
it is basically an 8GB Galaxy Tab but at half the price (Archos also do a
250GB HDD version and a 10" model too).
