Further to what Anthony said about Star Hammer Tactics, I used
http://www.indiedeveloperconsulting.com/ . Recently they've specialised in
iOS game promotion for small developers. I found them to be pretty good, and
worth the money.
Something else I did a few year ago was take a 6-week short course in
general marketing. It introduced me to the basics, like the 4P's, etc. It
was run by TAFE.

Hey Andy,
You have three choices when it comes to marketing your game;
a) Do it yourself!
b) Outsource some marketing muscle, or
c) Find a publisher for your game.
In context of the Perth gaming scene, I guess this means;
a) Time to do some reading! The most helpful article I found when I first
started marketing with RocketHands was on AppGamer(1). It deals mainly with
pre-release marketing, which is not much help in your current situation, but
will still be helpful. There's other articles around, like on 148app.biz (2)
and an excellent checklist on MindJuice (3).
b) Find a contractor. This can range from a press release copy writer (I
believe Paul talked about one a few months ago for StarHammer) to a full-on
marketing consultant who will provide you with a PR timeline and strategy.
c) Have a chat with Garth at StirFire. I know he's got some marketing guys
on board, and your game might be a fit with what they're trying to do? Worth
asking if you're interested.
At the very least, it's time to get a thread started at TouchArcade, give
away some of your Promo Codes on TA and Twitter, and get a press kit
together and send it out to GamesPress and whatever iOS games sites you can
think of. If you find yourself with spare codes, I can try and give them
away from @AussieAppSale - we have a small but dedicated group of people who
take up any promotion offers I post about.
Hope that's some help. Let me know how it goes, or if you need any more
help.
